Thank you for your confident leadership in adopting High Speed Rail for Australia. It is the right thing to do, it is profitable and it is self-financing.
It will reassure the public that the deeply concerning issues around liveability, population doubling and congestion will be resolved.
The public will be pleased to find that you will cut the cost of interstate freight in half with Fast Freight Rail (FFR) built next to HSR, which will reduce the cost of living. It will also create more competition, a huge increase in productivity and a lift in Australia’s international competitiveness.
It will be advisable to start soon as to stimulate economic growth and jobs. It will also begin operating before the population increases too much.
HSR/FFR implements a great vision for Australia’s ongoing prosperity and liveability while the population grows.
